I've been using textnow since 5 years now and I have a paid number, after 5 years they banned my account for no obvious reason and refusing to activate the account back nor refund me.
Not a reliable service at all, do not link your important stuff to this crap app

They constantly cancel my account BEFORE my payment is due. And my payment is through an iOS subscription, which has money on that card. They have no idea what they're doing and they're a HUGE pain to deal with!!!!!!

I had my textnow account for several years and even paid for the verification code service. My account apparently violated their terms of service even though I texted my friend and then couldn't text her any more. There seems to be no customer service number to reach and have been unsuccessful in resolving this. It's basically a scam because they take your money and you have no way to get it back or anything. I loved textnow until they did this. Can't count on them anymore.

Calls rarely come through. And if they do, you can't click on the call. It'll just come through and eventually turn into a missed call. This company is quite frankly the worst and I hope they go bankrupt.

TextNow has gone crazy.
They are confused on how to run their service properly.
I read their terms of service before setting up my account and never violated any of their rules. Very surprising to see my account got suspended !!! luckily, I have not paid the subscription before my account was taking down. But too bad to see how difficult or hard time they're going through to run their service properly.

Account terminated for an apparent violation of terms of use. No warning, no explanation, just out! Although this service was fantastic while in use the abrupt termination of an account without notice or explantation is concerning. Proceed with extreme caution if considering this service.

At first the service was wonderful. I felt that this company truly cared about bringing service free of charge. I truly needed this service. 2019 is when the service began faltering. It never was got better. Though I eventually had no reliable service I soon regretted that I had no way to cancel the premium service that I had upgraded to. Worse more, TextNow has been charging my registered bank card monthly ever since even though they have many Tech Help records which indicate I the has not been in operation for more than a year.

But on Feb 2022, they unilaterally denied the service.
When I contacted their customer support person Jason, he refused to service and denied to refund the money. Pathetic.
